Your intro video

Record a short video introducing yourself, no more than 60 seconds. Tell us your name, what you study and where, and why you want to be a Uni Insider. Please record it on a laptop or computer webcam, somewhere quiet with decent light, so we can see and hear you clearly. This is how we get to know you, so just be yourself.

What we need: a laptop or computer webcam (not a phone held at arm's length), a quiet space, decent light, clear audio, and 60 seconds maximum. Upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox or YouTube (unlisted), then paste the shareable link below.

One thing to check before you send: please make sure your link is not password protected and that anyone with the link can open it. Test it yourself in a private or incognito window. If we cannot open your video, we will not be able to consider your application, and we will not be able to chase you for a new link, so it is worth a quick check now.

We'll watch your video through your link to assess your application; we never store it, and we keep only the link, deleted when you're certified, or 6 months after our decision if your application doesn't succeed. We are required to verify your identity and right to earn as a self-employed individual in the UK. All documents are stored securely and used only for verification.

Sessions are student-initiated. You won’t be assigned sessions or guaranteed bookings.
This is not a part-time job. Most Uni Insiders do a handful of sessions a term.
Insiders currently earn £12 per session, paid directly via your connected Stripe account.
Being a Uni Insider is great for your LinkedIn and a genuine mentoring credential.
Honesty matters. You are helping students make a £60,000 decision.
